Swearing off EDM for awhile now!

My stash is too messy!!! So since im free on a nice sunny Saturday, I've decided to rearrange all the stuff in my little drawer.

Trust me when i say it is MESSY, okay, im not kidding. Look at this huge mess.

So i had to take out everythinggggg and pack properly and put it back! Actually it didnt take me very long la, hahaha not like i had alot of stuff anyway! xD

And i accidentally knelt on my Shooting Star MSF and i didnt know until i heard like a PIAK!! like something cracked. okay luckily nothing happened to it except that the transparent plastic piece in the middle came out, and i could just click it back easily. PHEW, otherwise i'd have cried my eyeballs out. D:

Okay! So i caved. I headed down to MAC at Taka in the afternoon and here's what i've got! :D

Porcelain Pink MSF!!

okay yeah i've been thinkingggggg about this MSF lately and i couldnt help myself!! hahaha. Swatched it at raffles city's robinsons the other time and i totally loveeeeee this :D YAY!!!

Here's a closeup!

The color is ultimate loveeee! It's a sweet baby pink with a tinge of gold and i think it'd be a really good cheek highlight for me! YAY!! :D I'd recommend this to anyone at all, but do take a look at it before getting it, do a swatch at the stores or something because even swatches online may not be a good representation of the color itself due to the lighting etc etc, plus it may look different on different skintones, so yup i'd say check it out yourself! :D

Other than Porcelain Pink, my bf and i went to Kiehl's (he's a regular there, all his facial wash/toner/scrub blahblah he gets from there! omg yah i know but he's as vain as me, if not more. HAHA whoops) and they've got a BOGO50% thing because its their anniversary, so yeahhhhh!!! been wanting to get and try this since a couple of weeks back!

:D He bought something + i bought something and because the stuff we want are about the same price, ($41 and $45 sgd), we got the most out of the offer since it was 50% off the one with the lower price! hahah. I've tried this just now during my bath, and it was not bad! i got it in the scent Pear Tree Corner, and it smells REALLY like pears O.o but i love the smell! xD It's sweet and pretty addictive because i keep opening the cap to smell it every 10 minutes. AM I WEIRD OR WHAT HAHA. whoops.

Okay anyway yeah i thought trying this once wouldnt be enough to do a review, so i'll be doing this review some other time after i use this a couple more times! :D will let you guys know if its a good product to get.. HEH. Meanwhile if you do want to get something from Kiehl's i'd say get them now before the offer ends! ~~ which i have no idea when it would, so yeah. You could check the website out first if you're too lazy to get down to Kiehl's (at Taka or Heeren, not sure where else. But in Taka its only a few shops down from MAC!! HAHA YAY), you might wanna check out their website online first. My bf says their stuff works pretty well for him, so yeah but it's pretty expensive though!! The prices on the website are in USD but you KNOW how singapore marks up all the prices. urgh sucks much? D:

MAC Powder Blush - Harmony

Got this from a spree from the MAC F&F Sale! :D Actually i still have a lipglass thats in Dreamy, but it isnt here yet. I bought from 2 different sprees because by the time i decided to get this Harmony blush the other one (i ordered from beadedaura on lj) already closed with like 4 batches O.o so yeah. Joined theposhpig's spree and this came so much earlier than the other! But she only got 2 batches, so i guess the other girl probably has alot to pack and stuff before sending the items out.

Okay digressing! HAHA. I got this blush to use as a contour, cause i dont have any!! Didn't know what to get at first, posted up on mac_cosmetics community and got some suggestions. Either Harmony or Emote. Emote was out of stock, and i wasnt too sure if it would match my skin tone, so i got this instead! :D am really vvvv happy with this!! ^^

MAC Mineralize Blush Duo in Moon River

This is seriously daaaaaamn pretty!!!! Love it much! Have been looking for Lightscapade MSF but its really really rare and stuff, so yeah. Heard that this blush was a good dupe though. Chanced upon someone who wanted to sell this off, so i got it at a deal! She only used it once, so yeah. Met up with her on Monday to get it, to check the item's real and stuff also (the internet is not extremely safe!), plus save on postage and minus the risk of it shattering. And yeah, this stuff is definitely not a fake, plus its out of stock on the web and everywhere else. YAYYY. Good stuff!! This blush is seriously t3h s3x.

Okay so anyway there's my minihaul!! :D and you can see now im a mac addict, darn. HAHA.

HERES THE QUESTION! Would really appreciate some opinions and help!

Q: So i've been itching for a MAC 187 Brush, especially to apply my mineral powders like the edm loose powder blushes and my MSFs, Moon River and i thought this would be pretty good + multipurpose! But 82 bucks for a brush is really going to kill my pocket ): What do you guys think? Or do any of you who are members or are entitled to discounts at MAC mind helping me get it at a lower price because im reallyyyyy dying for one!! D:

Hello! A 2-days overdue tag post on What's In My Makeup Bag? (: Thanks HeavenlyGorgeous for tagging me!!

So hmm, this is whats in my bag, that i bring along everytime i go out just in case i need a touchup or anything!

Items (:

1. Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil.
Actually i dont use this much hahaha i just leave it in anyway xD its a shimmery pink pencil though (: stays on really long!

2. benefit Boi-ing concealor.
My only concealor, and i really like it! Looks natural and blends with my skin tone, so yeah its a must!

3. Shu Uemura Drawing Pencil (eyeliner) in Metallic Blue.
LOVEEEEE THIS. Love the color, and it glides on pretty easily! I work better with this than the fluidline, find the fluidline abit scary to work with since im a beginner (:

4. The Body Shop Lipgloss.
I think this is limited edition, because it only appeared for awhile and then disappeared and i never saw it since. It's a shimmery peachy pink color and it smells reallyyyyy sweet and fruity. One of my favourites because i like the smell and plus it looks nice :D and it doesnt taste funny like some lipglosses.

5. Dodo Club Marshmallow Eye in #2 Pink Mania.
This is cool stuff! My first ever eyeshadow and its like this pink creamy eyeshadow, goes on smooth and nice. Heh though i dont really use it.. but yeah its always with me! HAHA.

6. MAC Tricolor Lipglass in Just Dessert.
Smells like vanilla, doesnt taste funny or anything. Goes on reallyyyyyy sheer and in my opinion it isnt too sticky or anything, so yeah. Use it pretty often lately!

7. Sephora Retractable Powder Brush #51
Dense and small enough to carry around, super convenient because its retractable and easy to keep :D The rest of my brushes arent like travel sized or meant to bring out everyday i suppose. Use this for touchups (:

8.MAC Lightful
My foundation powder, JUST IN CASE, you never know (: but then sometimes i switch this around with the Studio Fix, so sometimes i bring this sometimes i bring that, depending on my mood. Just that today Lightful happened to be in my bag, so yeah!

Hey guys! icyabstract requested for a review and swatch on Shooting Star MSF which i got off mac_cosmetics community on livejournal from a really nice seller, and here it is! :D

Here are swatches:

The color is gorgeous! (: when i saw the picture online and swatches and whatever it really looked like a darker brown, but when i got it swatched and all its more goldish bronze than brown, so i really like this one :D the glitter and shimmers might be a little too much for some people but its fine for me. Compared to other MSFs, Shooting Star's pigments are not so chunky and is considered pretty fine, unlike my Gold Spill one -.-.. (will blog about that another time)

I bought this off this girl who found that this was too light for her, she uses like NC45 or something for her foundation, so she's looking for Metal Rock MSF instead.. and because this is too light she decided to sell it off (: I'm not sure where else you can get this, because like any other MSFs its limited edition, and if im not wrong it came out pretty long ago so it might be hard to find. Warm Blend looks about the same but after swatching it at a MAC store it looked like a darker brown in my opinion, so im not sure if it'll be a good dupe for Shooting Star.

This color is really versatile and you can use it as a highlight or contour or bronzer, up to your own preference (: but i have to say that you do have to be careful not to overapply this because you may evolve into a glitter bomb. It is really gold and shimmery! :D

I was at MUJI at Paragon yesterday and these are finally in stock. (the last time i went to see it was gone ): and i thought they were gone forever and i was so sad) So yeah i bought two packets of these and now im left with one xD oops.

They're the ultimate love :D ahhhhh. Now you know how im growing fat...... heh.

Hey guys! :D So i got a request from rainyydays to do a side-by-side review on my MAC pressed powder foundation, and i was actually thinking of doing that tonight, so here it is! :D

Before i begin, here's a picture of my new baby! My Lightful powder foundation has finally found a home xD there wasnt stock for the silver casing at Taka MAC counters, so today i went to DFS to check out the stocks, and there was! :D

It's seriously a highly reflective surface hahahaha xD

Mmhm! So on to the reviews now!

Lightful Ultracharge Foundation

Packaging: 5/5
- I really like the packaging because it's special! :D I mean alright besides the ones from collections like Style Warrior, this is a permanent line that has a different packaging. The rest are boring black ones (like the Studio Fix one), though yeah they do look professional. But anyway if you want the black casing instead of this silver one you can request to get that, anyway the powder and the casings are sold separately.. They're of the same price though. My only concern is that this will scratch easily but i will try to avoid that! xD

Product: 4.5/5
- Loveee this product ;D This is actually Asia-exclusive, which means you cant get it in the US or UK etc, or even from maccosmetics.com! More than a month back i was actually recommended this product by the MA at Taka's MAC counter, because i wanted something to control oil esp at the T-Zone. Had this foundation on today, and it goes on really lightly and gives good coverage! The powder is super finely milled, compared to the Studio Fix line it controls oil better and looks more natural in my opinion and i really would prefer this one (: But you do have to be careful in applying it so that it doesnt look too cakey! And do try it on or ask the MA to help you while choosing this foundation because the shades are lighter than the usual ones from other lines! (:

Price: 2.5/5 ):
- The price kinda sucks ): The refill (as in the powder) and the casing are sold separately, and the refill is $60 while the casing is $14. The casing can be reused, so next time just have to get the refill, so okay yeah good idea. But $60 is really pretty expensive! This is the only thing that puts me off, but gah i suppose you have to pay for the quality!

Will I buy this again?
- Definitely! Unless well.. I get a better alternative. (:

Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

Packaging: 4/5
- I'm actually okay with the usual packaging, just not that special. But it really doesnt matter hahaha so yeah. There's nothing much to comment on.

Product: 4/5
- I like this product! It was my first ever foundation, and i got it in NW25. I really like this too, just that it doesnt control oil too much, but it's okay i suppose. Might get cakey as well if you over-apply it or something.. But i guess thats the problem of powder foundation? I never really liked liquid foundation because i feel like my face is untouchable, like OMG THERE'S GOING TO BE A FINGERPRINT! kind of feeling.

Price: 4/5
- Affordable i guess! I mean its foundation, and it lasted me pretty long anyway. (: I've used it for over 2 months and its not even halfway through? Okay but considering i dont use it everyday since i've got school and stuff.. ah. It was $47 locally off the counter, there's no separate casing or anything, so yeah i think the price is okay-ish!

Will I buy this again?
- I'm not toosure, but maybe? But i'll probably rather stick with Lightful instead.

To sum it all up, I'd prefer Lightful to Studio Fix, but i wouldnt ditch my studio fix completely, probably might switch around and stuff, heh. I love both of them, but if you have a budget i'd suggest you stick to Studio Fix, though I would say that Lightful is a pretty worthwhile investment! It is, afterall, designed for Asian skin anyway. It's good for everyday look, goes on well and doesnt give you a too heavy look, and controlling oil at the same time! :D

Okay, yay! So to start off, ive actually gotten myself more stuff lately and here are all of them! (yes i know thats alot of MSFs to get at one go but i reallyyyyy love them because they look super pretty! :D

Am reallyyyyy happy with all the things i got! :D Petticoat, Gold Spill and Shooting Star were actually gotten from online sellers who didnt want them anymore.. and anyway they're LE and not in stores anymore i decided to get them! :D yay.

Got Triple Fusion and Lightful Foundation from the MAC counter at Takashimaya today! i actually usually use Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NW25, but the MA at Taka suggested me using NC35 for this instead, so i decided to try it out (: i think lightful's shades are lighter than the studio fix one.. ahaha. its pretty expensive though, its $60 for the refill. wanted to get the casing as well but they didnt have stock for it, so i guess i have to wait, or get down to DFS or Lido to get it tmr! :D YAY. hahaha.

Anyway, i wanted to get Porcelain Pink MSF / Smooth Merge instead at first, but the MA recommended Triple Fusion for my skin tone, so i got it instead! (since im so indecisive and i had the urge to buy everything on their shelves... i hope im not the only one feeling this! HEH) so yeah.

i got boi-ing concealor from a Benefit spree on livejournal awhile ago, but i just got it! i tried it, and its pretty good. lucky i got the right shade as well! :D double yay! anyway i got it from the spree cuz it was SO much cheaper compared to getting it at Sephora. Sephora's damn expensive.. ): gah. Whatever. I still shop there anyway. xD
